This is an ode to unhealthy relationships. Not the ones where you have an argument every once in a while, or maybe lots of little ones all over the place, but otherwise everything is peachy keen. This is to the other kind, even or uneven, where one or the other has to protect themselves, in all kinds of ways. Do they stay and learn how to take it, or protect themselves better? Or do they lose everything except their freedom and fly away?
I have placed the 'fight' bride in a small area that is cramped and hard to breathe, holding her dress and hair up as a barrier. Whereas our 'flight' bride has lots of space to move, is making herself free of the confines of the dress, taking down the barrier.
